FAQ

Do parents have to climb with children up to the age of 10?

For the yellow courses it is sufficient if a parent or legal guardian is supervising the children on the ground and can therefore react if necessary! It is important to check that the children are correctly harnessed at the start! Accompanying persons who are only on the ground do not have to pay an entrance fee if they do not climb with the children.

On the green courses, parents must climb with their children up to 8 years. At least 1 adult must accompany every 2 children.

On the blue course, parents must climb with children up to 10 years.

Are children aged 10 to 16 years allowed to climb without an accompanying adult?

For the yellow, green and blue courses (except via ferrata blue), it is sufficient for a parent or guardian to check that the children are properly secured at the start before each course.

On the via ferrata blue and red, a parent or legal guardian is required.

No supervision is necessary for anyone older than 16.

What's the age limit on the yellow and green kids courses?

Children from the age of 5 and at least 100 cm are best off on the yellow children's course. On the yellow children's courses, the child only has to be able to carry the Safety Line safety carabiner on independently! This requires only a little strength and a bit of skill.

On the green courses, the fox roll must also be opened and closed repeatedly. This requires more strength in the hands and above all more skill. From experience, we recommend a minimum age of 6 or 7 years.

The yellow children's courses are suitable for children up to a height of 1.40 m. The green courses are not much higher, but can also be climbed by adult companions.

Can my child climb with me if he or she is smaller than 100 cm?

No! For safety reasons, we cannot allow that.

Do I have to book in advance?

Individuals and groups (max. 10 people) can visit the Outdoorpark during regular opening hours without a reservation. For larger groups (10 persons or more), please make a reservation: service@soelle.at

What is the process when entering the Outdoor Park?

After you have read and signed the waiver, you will pay at the cash desk and receive the climbing equipment (helmet, harness with carabiner & Fox pulley). The guide will help you and check the equipement.

Climbing Gloves (are recommended) can be bought from us for € 3,-  or you can bring your own.

In the beginngin there is a mandatory safety introduction.

Afterwards, everyone can climb the courses independently. We recommend starting with the easy courses and then increasing.

Do I have to bring my own gear?

No! The climbing equipment (helmet and harness, carabiner and fox pulley) is provided by us and is included in the entrance fee. For safety and insurance reasons, you may only climb with our equipment.

Do visitors have to pay if they don't want to climb?

Only those who climb pay. Spectators are welcome and pay nothing!

Can I purchase vouchers?

Yes! Entrance vouchers are available at the Sölle Sportshop in Tröpolach or at the cash desk in the Felsenlabyrinth.

Can I go barefoot or with flip flops on the courses?

No! Running shoes with tread, hiking boots or work shoes are optimal. However, PLEASE no flip-flops, sandals or ballerinas!!!!

What do I have to wear?

We recommend outdoor clothing that at least reaches above the knees and can get dirty. Trainers, outdoor or hiking shoes with a grippy sole are recommended by us. We also recommend that people with long hair tie it up.

Is there a toilet?

Yes, we have a mobile toilet (Dixie) near the entrance area.

Is there also something to eat & drink?

Water, soft drinks and small snacks such as Mars, Snickers, etc. are available in our snack hut. Your own snack is always allowed and can be enjoyed in our cosy snack and break tent!

For groups: we offer lunch in cooperation with Restaurant Kristall or Tressdorfer Alm on request.

Is climbing really safe? How does the Safety Line work?

Safety is our top priority! Our park is inspected annually by an ERCA-certified inspection body and our facility thus meets the safety standards of the European high ropes course standard EN-15567.

All safety equipment and materials used comply with current standards, are statically calculated and oversized several times for your safety.

The adventure park is serviced annually and checked for conformity before the opening of the season and a new operating facility permit is issued.

Our climbing park also has the highest safety level "E" (EN standard 15567) with the Safety Line continuous safety system. Once hooked into the safety system, the participant can only unhook the safety line at the end of the course.

Can I visit the Outdoorpark without prior climbing knowledge?

Anyone can climb with us. Special previous knowledge is not required! An average level of fitness is sufficient, we will teach you everything else! For some courses there is a minimum age and a minimum body size, the information for this can be found at the entrances.

Where can I park my car?

At the valley station in Tröpolach, then take the Millennium Express up to Tressdorfer Alm, or park at the Nassfeld pass and walk for approx. 25 min over flat terrain to Tressdorfer Alm.

Is it possible to climb in the rain or bad weather?

Most of the courses can still be used when it is raining a little bit. Only if the platforms become too slippery the courses have to be (temporarily) closed. In the event of thunderstorms or persistent heavy rain the facility remain closed.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs may be brought along if they are on a leash.

Do I have to decide on a course beforehand?

No! You can run through the different courses individually according to your courage, stamina and condition. We recommend that you start with the easy courses and then work your way up.

Do I also have to attend the briefing if I have climbed somewhere before?

Yes! Every visitor must take part in the instruction because every climbing facility has its own special features and is different. Even our "repeat offenders" go through our training course at least once more to make sure that the belaying technique is still correct.
